The Lir Academy is offering the Patricia Leggett Scholarship for MFA in Playwriting.

This bursary is open to writers resident on the island of Ireland to support them to complete The Lir Academy’s one-year MFA in Playwriting at The Lir Academy, commencing later this year. The value of the support is up to €12,000. 

is a great opportunity for a budding playwright to train under the expert guidance of tutors Graham Whybrow, Karin McCully, Gavin Kostick and Thomas Conway.

In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants must be:

  • Qualified to degree level
  • Resident in Ireland or Northern Ireland.

Applicants can submit a 45-minute-long complete play to [email protected] by Friday April 8th, 2022.
