Kildare County Council Arts Service/Short Grass Films invites applications to bothe the Kildare Short Grass Film Bursary Award 2022 & the Kildare Short Grass Film Commission 2022.

Kildare Short Grass Film Bursary Award 2022

The Kildare Short Grass Film Bursary award is open to both established and emerging filmmakers and production companies in all genres, from or living in Co Kildare to support and encourage original film production. 

The recipients of the Kildare Short Grass Film Bursary Award will receive:

• A bursary of up to €1,500
• A local premiere or public screening
• Use of Kildare County Council’s CANON EOS C100 EF MK II and film equipment
• Use of the Platform4 Audio and Digital media editing suite to complete and edit your film
• Final Cut Pro X training for one member of the production team may also be provided. Training may be made in consultation with the Arts Service.

The deadline for applications is 5pm Monday 21st March 2022.

Kildare Short Grass Film Commission 2022

Kildare County Council Arts Service/Short Grass Films invites applications to the Kildare Short Grass Film Commission. This Commission aims to further develop KCC/Short Grass Films support for film production in the county, by commissioning an original film to be shot in County Kildare in 2022/23. Applications are invited for original script ideas from filmmakers at all stages of their development.Under the Kildare Short Grass Film Commission scheme €12,500 will be awarded towards the cost of the film production. Short film, feature film, documentary, animation, experimental and artist films will all be considered.
