Irish Writers Shine at the 37th Galway Film Fleadh

We’d like to extend our warmest congratulations to all our members whose work screened at the Galway Film Fleadh last week.

We’d like to extend our warmest congratulations to all our members whose work screened at the Galway Film Fleadh last week.

Between short films and features, it was fantastic to see so many excellent projects underpinned by fantastic scripts. Particular congratulations to those whose films won awards on Sunday night (and, credit it where it is due, this time round we were pleased to see the writers on each winning film get a proper mention).

I know many of you were also pitching at the market place, and we look forward to seeing what comes of those meetings too.

Aside from the screenings, we’d like to especially acknowledge our colleagues in Raising Films Ireland who spearheaded the free childminding service at the Fleadh – as part of their commitment to providing a more accessible industry for carers and parents. RFI are an organisation that are going from strength to strength and we are proud to have been part of that from the very start.
