BMAN Entertainment, Bankside Films and Forty Foot Pictures are partnering on a €50,000 scheme for genre writers.

Three screenwriters, who must be working on their first or second feature film with projects that lean into the thriller, horror or sci-fi genres, will be awarded a share of the €50,000 pot towards the writing of their screenplay and receive ongoing development support.

The deadline for applications is 3rd February 2025.

Screenwriters from or living on the island of Ireland (aka reside in Northern and the Republic of Ireland) are invited to submit the following materials:

• A 300-word synopsis
• A 1–2-page writer’s statement
• A 5–10-page treatment (or a full script, if available)
• A writer’s biography
• Links to produced work
