Micro-credential in Entertainment Law

Will give participants an understanding of the law governing audiovisual or entertainment media: broadcasting, film, TV, games, drama, music, etc., on traditional and online platforms.  

 University of Galway and National Talent Academy for Film & TV Drama have announced a newly developed, bespoke, Micro-credential in Entertainment Law. 

This course’s objective is to give participants an understanding of the law governing audiovisual or entertainment media: broadcasting, film, TV, games, drama, music, etc., on traditional and online platforms.  

This online course is primarily aimed at participants who do not have a law background. However, participants with a law background will also find new concepts introduced, particularly if they have not engaged with entertainment law before. 

The concepts of artistic expression and commercial speech, and their protection in international and domestic law, will be explored. Structural regulation will be considered, particularly recent developments at European level in AI, copyright, broadcasting and on-demand services.
