Talk: Who has the power? An Open Forum Conversation
Wednesday 20th March, 16:00

An open-forum conversation, inviting and provoking questions about power, industry, ownership, leadership and the impact on creativity within theatre-making.

Workshop 1: What’s stopping you? A theatre-making workshop
Thursday 21st March 10:30 – 12:30

A workshop for theatre makers and creatives, exploring creative blocks, internal ‘why bothers’, all the ways we procrastinate, and how to overcome them. This fun but interrogative workshop will create and explore techniques for navigating and overcoming the barriers which stop us from living life to the fullest creative potential.  Participants will identify and navigate their own blocks to be enabled to make an action plan for making their own work. Please bring your notebook.

Workshop 2: Dirty Money -Self-producing and the finances of theatre
Thursday 21st March at 14:00 – 16:00

The way theatre productions are financed and paid for shouldn’t be a secret- but often these things remain a mystery. This workshop aims to lift the lid on understanding how theatre is funded, how much things costs, and how to organise, strategise and fundraise to get your project from idea to audience.   Unpacking, exploring and provoking ideas around money, finance, value, sponsorship, payment and the personal politics of finance and the arts. Please bring your notebook.

Workshop 3: Selling stories – How to market theatre
Friday 22nd March: 10:30 – 12:30

A workshop exploring visual design and the dramaturgy of theatre marketing – looking at examples and providing insight, skills and practical guidance for you to create a successful and engaging marketing campaign for your own theatre or artistic projects.

Exploring poster design, conceptual marketing, the dramaturgy of marketing and how to successfully sell and raise awareness of your show.
