Lesley Conroy’s short film Cleaner, directed by Edwin Mullane, is coming to the end of its festival run and is screening at Oldenburg on Saturday, 16th of September.

Scrubbing a toilet: for Angela, a humble domestic cleaner, it is a daily chore. For her boss, a proud stay-at-home mother, sparkling clean white wine glasses are a daily go-to. Both lead lives of quiet desperation. And live in different worlds. But when a new chore leads to bonding, and lines between employer & employee become blurred, life gets dirty.
