35th Galway Film Fleadh Winners Announced

This year's Pitching Award winner was Eimear Morgan with her project ‘Billy Ruben + The Shunts’.

The 35th edition of the Galway Film Fleadh came to an end at the annual awards ceremony which took place on Sunday 16th of July.

This year’s Pitching Award winner was Eimear Morgan with her project ‘Billy Ruben + The Shunts’

The winner of Best Irish Film was Apocalypse Clown, written by Demian Fox, George Kane, Shane O’Brien and James Walmsley and directed by George Kane.

Winning Best Irish First Feature was Lie of The Land, written by Tara Hegarty and directed by John Carlin.

Best Independent Film Award went to Verdigris, written and directed by Patricia Kelly.

The Graceless Age – The Ballad of John Murry, won the best Irish documentary award on the night, written and directed by Sarah Share.
