A round of Arts Council Theatre Project Award funding will open for applications on Tuesday 27 June, with a closing date of Thursday 27 July at 5.30pm.

The Theatre Team will be hosting a Theatre Project Award funding information clinic on Friday June 23rd at 11am via Zoom. 

This award will be for activities taking place in the 12-month period on or after 1 January 2024, and will cover four strands of the Theatre Project Award. Applicants can apply for one strand per round.

• Strand 1: Play Development to support the writing of new plays by playwrights, either on their own, or working in collaboration with a director, and/or dramaturg, and/or other collaborators to develop a text for performance
• Strand 2: Theatre Creation to support the collaborative development of new theatre work in a post-dramatic context
• Strand 3: New Work* to support the presentation of new work to audiences, either written by a single playwright, and/or made collaboratively in a post-dramatic context
• Strand 4: Production to present mid to large-scale productions of plays to audiences in partnership with funded arts organisation with a strong track record for for the delivery of theatre to audiences.
