Culture Moves Europe

Professional development, collaborations, or residencies.

The first Culture Moves Europe call for individual artist mobilities has been launched and will operate monthly on a rolling basis until May 2023 with deadlines set for the end of each month. It will fund 7,000 artists and cultural professionals to go abroad for professional development, collaborations, or residencies.

Culture Moves Europe will be implemented by the Goethe-Institut with a €21 million budget over the next three years. This will fund up to 7,000 artists, creators and cultural professionals to go abroad for professional development or international collaborations, to co-produce, present their works to new audiences or undertake residencies lasting from one to ten months. It supports green and inclusive mobility in Europe and beyond.

This call for applications is open to artists and cultural professionals active in the field of culture, aged 18+, of all educational qualifications and levels of experience, legally residing in a Creative Europe country, for individuals or groups up to five people.

You can apply for funding for international collaborations, production residencies or professional development in another Creative Europe country or countries. The scheme offers additional costs around access and disability as well as family costs and supports climate sustainability.

During the rolling call period, a ‘cut-off’ date will be set on the last day of each month.
