Small Sparks is a project where artists have the opportunity to work with a Leitrim business for three weeks to explore common interest and opportunities that carry benefit for both the company and the artist. There are no preconditions on what an artist (who may be from any arts discipline) might do – or what, if anything, might be produced during that time – although a materials budget is available for use. Participating companies in 2022 are The Old Rectory Country House in Ballinamore, Jinny’s Bakery in Drumshanbo and Caz-Cards Gift Shop & Printing in Manorhamilton.

Artists are now invited to declare their interest in participating in the programme.  

While not a required outcome, at the end of the programme, any of the three residencies may give rise to a follow-on proposal for a longer 6-month programme that can be developed between the artist and company with the support of the arts office.
