Galway Theatre Festival 2025 seeks to prioritize:

– Supporting high-quality, full-scale productions that demonstrate the ambition to form lasting partnerships, tour, and continue development at national and international levels.

– Supporting artists and works-in-development that are innovative, experimental, and relevant to contemporary issues, with a clear ambition to develop into high-quality productions. (We are committed to the developmental process, and works-in-progress should focus on qualitative development rather than final showings. Good art takes time, and we encourage artists to pursue appropriate development opportunities.)

– Supporting work that engages with the Irish language, Gaeltacht areas, rural communities in the West, Arts & Disability, Arts & Young People, Arts & Older People, and Arts & Minority Groups.
