Tony Kelly’s debut feature as writer/director The Hurler (A Campion’s Tale) will be released in Irish cinemas on October 6th.

The films stars Tony Kelly, Elva Trill, Jon Kenny, David McSavage, Mario Rosenstock, Karl Spain and Marty Morrissey.

The Hurler tells the tale of Gar Campion, Ireland’s most notorious hurling star. In an effort to hang on to glory, he becomes the first hurler in the history of the game to fail a drug test for performance enhancing drugs and agrees to try and rebuild his reputation by giving his time to coach Ireland’s worst hurling team, who’ve never won a game in the history of the club.
