The first episode of Dorothy Cotter’s radio comedy series Carthanacht Chlíodhna airs on Raidió na Gaeltachta on Thursday June 8th at 8.30pm and will be broadcast weekly until July 27th.

Carthanacht Chlíodhna follows the feisty Clíodhna De Brí (Bairbre Ní Chaoimh), hell-bent on winning the All-Ireland Charity Shop Championship. With a rival charity shop directly across the street and a charming ex-convict wreaking havoc, Clíodhna will do whatever it takes to take home the prize.

Carthanacht Chlíodhna is a madcap comedy that also packs a dramatic punch. The 8-part series was co-written by Dorothy Cotter and Cillian O Donnachadha, founders of Pinch Of Sult Productions.

Carthanacht Chlíodhna received funding from RTÉ and the BAI Sound & Vision Scheme.

The cast includes Bairbre Ní Chaoimh, Donncha Crowley, Marcus Lamb, Áine Ní Laoghaire and Eoin P. Ó Murchú.
