Spectrum LAB
Supported by Screen Ireland through its Skills Development Events Funding Scheme, the Queer Spectrum Film Festival (QSFF) has announced Spectrum LAB, a new skills development programme for LGBTQIA+ people of colour and migrant filmmakers in Ireland. Taking place at the Irish Film Institute from 12–14 June 2026, the initiative aims to amplify underrepresented voices while supporting participants in developing their storytelling practice through workshops, talks, and collaborative learning.
As part of QSFF’s wider mission to celebrate diverse queer and migrant experiences on screen, Spectrum LAB will bring together eight selected filmmakers and creatives for a series of intensive sessions with international filmmakers, local curators, and industry professionals. The programme is designed to foster creative exchange, build networks, and strengthen practical skills, offering a valuable platform for emerging talent to grow and connect within Ireland’s film industry.
