The Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Producing is currently accepting applications for the next intake of the programme. This highly successful year-long Level 9 programme has been designed by TU Dublin and Screen Ireland and is funded through Springboard+. Eligible students will have 90% of the €5,400 fee subsidised.

Aimed at up and coming producers and using key industry specialists, the Advanced Producing Programme is designed to give new producers a comprehensive understanding of the script to screen process.

The programme is led by John McDonnell (Fantastic Films) and features a number of highly experienced industry guest speakers. It will cover key skills areas essential to a producer’s career development including: the development process; financing; legal issues; budgeting and scheduling; production; post-production; management and negotiation skills; sales and distribution; festivals/markets and pitching. Graduates of the programme will gain the skills, confidence and connections to operate in the rapidly growing screen industry.

The programme will also equip up-and-coming producers with the skills identified by the industry to work in established production companies or to work independently in their own companies.
