Screen Ireland Launch 2026 Slate of Productions

Includes 22 feature films, 17 documentaries, 13 TV dramas and animated series, and more than 30 short films.

Screen Ireland launched its slate of productions coming to audiences in 2026 on 29 January, featuring 87 projects set to reach both Irish audiences and the international market this year. The slate includes 22 feature films, 17 documentaries, 13 TV dramas and animated series, and more than 30 short films.

Among the projects featured is Power Ballad, written by John Carney and Peter McDonald and directed by John Carney, an uplifting, music-driven story starring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas. The film explores love, ambition and the song that comes between a wedding singer and a rock star.

Also included is The Lost Children of Tuam, written by Rebecca Lenkiewicz and directed by Frank Berry, a powerful dramatisation of Catherine Corless’s campaign to uncover the truth about the Tuam Mother and Baby Home.

Other feature films coming to the international market this year include The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes, adapted from her own novel of the same name by Anna McPartlin and directed by Jim O’Hanlon. The film is a moving exploration of family, memory and letting go, featuring Niamh Algar.

Also featured is the coming-of-age drama Skintown, written by Ciarán McMenamin and starring Jamie Lee O’Donnell.

In TV drama, the six-part series These Sacred Vows, written and directed by John Butler, debuted on RTÉ last weekend.
