30th June 2021

We’re delighted that Tracy Martin is joining our team as ZeBBies Co-ordinator.

A previous ZeBBie nominee for Best Short Film Script herself, Tracy has worked in various production roles in theatre for the past twenty years from production manager to producer and writer. She was producer with Tall Tales theatre company from 2008 – 2012 in the Solstice Arts Centre and then formed her own production company Red Bear Company.

Tracy will be working closely with the ZeBBies Committee to organise this year’s event – whatever that turns out to be be with all the Covid uncertainty that still lingers.

Lucky Dozen Talk with Tracy Martin

28th November 2018

Currently writing a new play for The Abbey Theatre and The Complex, writer Tracy Martin adapted two of her stage plays Harder Faster More and Wrapped for RTE Radio’s ‘Drama On One’. In 2017 she won Silver at both the New York Festivals’ Radio Awards and the IMRO Radio Awards and has been nominated for the Fishamble New Writing Award, the First Fortnight Award and the Stewart Parker Award. Most recently she was a finalist in the Prix Europa Awards. Screen Ireland has commissioned her ten minute short Sister This and this will go into production in the new year with Parallel Films.

At 7.30 pm on Thursday, 6 December 2018 at the Guild’s office, Tracy will give a talk to Guild members which will focus on how to how to get your work produced; adapting a theatre play for radio; writing real female characters and how to mix comedy with adult themes and language that some people may find offensive – but others will find absolutely hilarious.

This talk is limited to 12 members of the WGI, and booking is essential.
