Writing for Radio

The Irish Playwrights & Screenwriters Guild is organising a ‘Writing for Radio’ panel discussion with representatives from three of the country’s largest broadcasting institutions: RTÉ Radio Drama, BBC Northern Ireland Radio Drama, and the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland.

Questions that will be addressed are: How much radio drama is there? How do you apply? What do the commissioners want? What do they pay?

All members of the Guild are invited.

The discussion will take place in Room 3 of FilmBase at 1pm on Thursday, 12th of April.

The panellists will be:

  • Kevin Brew (RTÉ Radio – Drama Department)
  • Heather Larmour (BBC Radio – Drama Department)
  • Andrew Robinson (BAI – Sound & Vision Department)

The event is free but places are limited, so book a place immediately by emailing jack.olohan (a) script.ie or by calling the office at 01 670 9970.
