Directors in Dialogue

20th June 2011 by Maura McHugh

The Screen Directors Guild of Ireland (SDGI) and the Irish Film Institute (IFI) have joined forces in a new partnership in support of Irish screen directors.

On 25th June the SDGI and the IFI launches a series of events called SDGI/IFI Directors in Dialogue that pairs up Irish and international directors to discuss their approaches to filmmaking with the first being a jet lag free visit to Paris on a Skype call with acclaimed Greek director Costa Gavras in conversation with fellow director/writer Conor Horgan (One Hundred Mornings). Directors and members of public will have a unique opportunity to engage in a dialogue with Mr. Gavras following the screening of his first American film Missing.

The screening of Missing followed by SDGI Directors in Dialogue with Costa Gavras and Conor Horgan takes place at 2.50pm on Saturday 25th June in the Irish Film Institute, Eustace Street, Dublin 2. It will be followed by the conversation between Costa Gavras and Conor Horgan at 5.15pm.
