NI Screen Seeks Script Readers

Northern Ireland ScreenNorthern Ireland Screen is currently seeking to appoint a tally of new script readers.  If you wish to be considered for the role of script reader, you must demonstrate the following essential criteria in your CV and covering letter :

Essential Criteria:

At least 2 years’ script reading and reporting experience for a national screen agency, broadcaster, sales agent, distributor or production company.
At least 1 year’s script reading and reporting experience and formal training in script reading and reporting.
You must not be working as a producer or working for a production company in a producing or development role.

If you do not meet these criteria please do not apply.  Ineligible applications will be automatically discarded.

Northern Ireland Screen expects its script readers to be:

  • excellent communicators – articulate, literate and numerate
  • committed to accuracy, reliability and attention to detail
  • team players
  • available to provide script reports upon request throughout the year and within a turnaround period of 2 weeks.

CLOSING DATE: 3.00pm Friday 17th September 2010
PLEASE NOTE: letters and CVs received after the deadline will not be considered.

Current Rate of Pay per report:
Feature script: £50
Treatment: £25
Short film script: £25

Shortlisted candidates will be notified within two weeks of the closing date and will be asked to provide a sample script report on a script which we will send you.  Applicants who have not been contacted by Northern Ireland Screen by 29th September have not been shortlisted.
